Found a few options worth comparing and looked into one of them here which at least had a clear enough description of what the process actually involves. After that I started paying more attention to whether each provider followed state and federal environmental regulations since for business waste that is not something you want to guess about. Another thing that stood out as important was whether they supplied any collection equipment on site because coordinating pickup without proper labeled containers adds a lot of unnecessary confusion. The bundled approach covering both e-waste and batteries under one service also turned out to matter more than I initially expected since dealing with separate vendors for each type of waste gets complicated quickly. I would not say pricing should be ignored but transparency about what is actually included in the service and how disputes or issues get resolved felt like a more reliable signal when comparing options.
